My sweet nephew Henry had a 3 day stint at Primary Children's this week. The poor kid was pretty sick and had to be suctioned regularly in order to breathe. After visiting him, I realized one area of nursing I can definitely rule out, and that is working at Primary's. I just couldn't do it. I balled watching them hold him down and suction him through his nose. I have complete respect for the nurses and Patient Care Tech's that work there. Because I... definitely couldn't.
My sister Lindsay took this picture of Henry. Even though he felt terrible, he still mustered up a smile for the camera. It was so sad to see him try to rub his eye and sign with his hand wrapped up from his IV. I'm grateful he's home and that he is going to be o.k.
